So why is Fuel Moto doing a podcast? Honestly, because the world of motorcycles, performance and tuning has gotten really complicated and exciting kind of all at once. Whether it's flash tuning, standalone ECUs, cam options, big bore kits and exhaust, there's just a lot of information out there. But a lot of it has turned scattered, outdated, or missing real rider perspective.
How many of you guys have been on Facebook or Instagram and you ask a question or see a post that you're interested in and all you have is 50 guys fighting with each other? Posting things about their big wheels and tires and oils and things that have no relevance or about parts, components and tuning that they know nothing about. That's why this is coming about because we have so much misinformation and so much outdated information out there that it's really time.
We spent a lot of years in the dyno testing, literally thousands of combinations. Working with riders and developing setups that actually work, not just on paper, but on the road. And when we're trying to convey that to people, a lot of this stuff gets lost in translation and mixed up along the way. A lot of that background noise is really not great for the the industry and the community.
So that's really what we want this podcast to be, a conversation between us and the riders. So for anybody that might be new to the brand, Fuel Moto started as a performance and e-comm shop focused on helping riders get more of the motorcycle. I have by dyno-ing for 30 years, pretty much every day of my adult life. And there's just some stuff I've learned along the way.
And over time, we ended up growing into one of the biggest performance tuning shops and motorcycle parts distributors in the V-twin segment. Between the countless hours of developing tunes, dyno-ing customer builds and combinations we've put together, helping customers fine tune their setups for real world riding. It's been over 20 years of this for us and a lot of relationships we've built out and combinations we've learned and stuff we've failed on.

But here's the thing, not everybody can make it to Appleton, Wisconsin, where we're located, and not everyone knows where to start. So we figured, why not do a podcast where we can work back and forth and again, help eliminate some of the background noise or chatter and get right straight to and from the source.
And a podcast gives us a way to really break things down and talk about things like: Why is tuning matters? What happens when you change this in your engine? What you should do before you start just bolting on new parts. It's not easy. There's a lot of stuff to learn and this stuff isn't hereditary. We all had to learn it, and figured out a lot of things along the way, but we also figured out what not to do. I mean, we messed some stuff up too.
We just wanted a platform where we could communicate with people that you're not on your own. We're here to help. So we're gonna go we're gonna cover a lot of ground from the basics right up to deep tech and information. A preview of things that probably to come: we'll do some episodes of the truth about exhausts and mufflers. We'll also dive really deep into the tuning side of things that gets really what our forte is like making things come together through tuning and the tuning doesn't just mean changing values in the calibration.
Tuning means, you know, exhaust systems. means camshaft choices. means a lot of things. We're also going to cover some of the mistakes again. Like I said, we've done things and many times go in the wrong direction for every great product or combination that we introduce. There's a lot of stuff that never really works or stuff you don't hear about. And we're also going to do some behind the scenes stories and in the Dyno room.
There's all kinds of things happen in the shop here day in day out. I managed to put a bike upside down on the Dyno 10 years ago. We're also hoping to get some stories from customers.

The big thing we'll be talking about is new developments as well. New products like the Gen 2 is really hot for Milwaukee-8, emerging technologies and fuel injection, cam design, exhaust systems and anything that aftermarket is really doing to keep up with the latest trends. So in the end, this podcast is really about education as much as come from a conversation. You don't need to be a professional tuner or engine builder to follow along here.
We've very much have much nurtured 150,000 customers and we've taken a lot of people from the basics all the way up to professional engine builders and tuners that some of these guys are today. And, we in return, have learned just as much from our customers over the years on, how to do these things too. So that's always been a valuable, I mean, invaluable resources, our customer database.
We want you to understand the bikes as much as we want to understand them as well. And again, in a world full of social media noise, misinformation and things like my buddy said this, or I read this on the forum. We really want a reliable source where you get straight answers from the guys like us who test the stuff daily. mean, is better than having firsthand data instead of hearing the stuff secondhand. We're not here to sell hype.
We're just here to share the data, the experience, the stories, all stuff we can back up for, and better over 20 years. You'll hear from me, but also other members from the Fuel Moto staff, everybody from sales upfront to the guys in the back that do the machine work, tuning, and engine building.
I'm for sure going to bring on special guests. That's going to be a big part of our podcast. Our aim and desire trajectory for the podcast is going to be, industry partners, some manufacturers and vendors. A lot of these people we have 20 plus year relationships with. Great people in the industry for sure that we want to get involved.
